2021.06.03. Bicycle tour from Moers to Kohlenhuck / Rheinberg / Everseal / Vierbaum / Neukirchen-Vluyn and back to Moers

Samstag den 06.03 hatten wir uns zu einer kleinen Radtour verabredet. Für mich war es eine Testfahrt nach dem mein Fahrrad nach kläglichen 13500 Km einen neuen Motor bekommen hatte. Sammel und Startpunkt war Moers-Scherpenberg. Mein Kollege Jakob und ich sind aus Neukirchen-Vluyn zum Startpunkt angefahren, somit hatten wir in Scherpenberg schon die ersten 10 Km auf der Uhr.

Saturday the 03.06 we had arranged for a small bike tour. For me it was a test tour after my bike got a new engine after a miserable 13500 km. The collection and starting point was Moers-Scherpenberg. My colleague Jakob and I arrived from Neukirchen-Vluyn to the starting point, so we had the first 10 km on the clock in Scherpenberg.

Bei besten Wetter (toller Sonnenschein und trocken) und fast sommerlichen Temperaturen von +5°C – +9°C sind wir Richtung Moers gestartet. Von Moers ging es weiter zur Halde Kohlenhuck. Die Halde rauf ist eigentlich nicht schwer und auch nicht kompliziert, nur wenn man die ganze Anfahrt in der falschen Fahrstufe, mit falschen Gang angeht und dann auch noch zu stolz um anzuhalten ist um es neu an zu gehen, geht das in die Hose, so ist es mir ergangen. (Jakob hat mit mir angehalten und auf mich gewartet) Nach einer Verschnaufpause ging es dann weiter die Halde hoch. (Die restlichen Kollegen waren schon auf der Halde und genossen die Aussicht) Die Aussicht von der Halde war auf 360° möglich und einfach toll (Fotos folgen)

In the best weather (great sunshine and dry) and almost summer temperatures of +5°C – +9°C we started towards Moers. From Moers we went on to the dump Kohlenhuck. The driveway to the dump is actually not difficult and also not complicated, only if you approach the whole (way) in the wrong driving level, with the wrong gear and then also is too proud to stop to start it again, this goes into the pants, that’s how it happened to me. (Jacob stopped with me and waited for me) After a breather, we went up the stockpile (dump). (The rest of my colleagues were already on the heap and enjoyed the view) The view from the heap (dump) was possible at 360° and simply great (photos to follow)

Von der Halde Kohlenhuck sind wir Richtung Rheinberg zur Marienkapelle an Strommoers gefahren. An der Kapelle haben wir ein Päuschen eingelagt und uns am Sonnenschein erfreut. (Fotos folgen) Von dort sind wir über Rheinberg nach Everseal an den Rheindeich gefahren, sind dem Rheindeich dann bis Vierbaum gefolgt. Von Vierbaum auf den Weg nach Orsoy hat uns das Glück verlassen und ich bekam einen Platten am Hinterrad (natürlich bei 4 Personen hatte keiner eine passende Luftpumpe dabei, so mußten wir auf chemie zurück greifen). Nach der Haverie mit dem platten Reifen haben wir die Route geändert und sind Richtung Repeln weiter gefahren (kürzeste Weg nach Neukirchen-Vluyn nach Hause).

From the dump Kohlenhuck we drove towards Rheinberg to the Marien chapel behind Strommoers. At the chapel we took a break and enjoyed the sunshine. (Photos to follow) From there we drove via Rheinberg to Everseal to the Rhine dike, then followed the Rhine dike to Vierbaum. From Vierbaum on the way to Orsoy, luck left us and I lost the air on the rear wheel (of course with 4 people no one had a suitable air pump with us, so we had to resort to chemistry). After the Haverie with the flat tyre we changed the route and continued towards Repeln (shortest way to Neukirchen-Vluyn home).

Ich bin mit dem chemie gefüllten Reifen dann noch gut nach Hause gekommen.

I came home well with the chemically filled tire.

Gesamt Strecke 63,7 Km gesamt Zeit in Bewegung: 3.43 h Ø 16.3 Km/h
